About me

I have loved languages since I was quite small and first discovered French; I have completed a Masters degree in English Linguistics and intend to one day finish my PhD. Apart from Sindarin I read Old English and Norse, as well as some of the more modern languages - French, German, some Welsh, Italian etc. I am a great lover of Tolkien's works, and when not translating I can often be found on the Lord of the Rings Online or other MMOs.

Xandarien is neither a Sindarin name nor anything to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy (they're the Xandarians and it's just a bizarre coincidence).
